Discovery assessment
A free 15 minute discovery call is available. If you would like to book one enquire below.

If we decide to work together the next step would be a discovery assessment.
The aim of this 90 minute assessment is to ascertain what issues you are dealing with at the moment and to create a voyage of discovery together to help you find your way to a place you are more comfortable with. This will not always mean working with us if you might benefit from an approach we cannot offer as yet. Even if we do offer the approach felt most suitable there is no obligation to work with us following assessment.

EMDR and Flash
Eye Movement Desensitation and Reprocessng
EMDR is a powerful psychological treatment method that was developed by a clinical psychologist, Dr Francine Shapiro. It is a psychotherapy that helps you to process and recover from past experiences that may be affecting your mental health and well-being long after the events themselves.
It involves using bilateral stimulation, usually side to side eye movements, combined with talk therapy in a specific and structured format.
EMDR helps process negative images, emotions, beliefs and body sensations which are linked to traumatic memories that seem to be stuck. It helps you see things from a different perspective and kick-starts your natural healing processes again.
It was developed to help those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and research has since shown that the application for this therapy is far wider than just trauma work. It can help with all mental health issues including psychosis and personality disorders as many of these issues are rooted in some kind of trauma.

Room based therapy
These 50 minute sessions usually take place weekly at a set time. The aim is to devote time to helping you to address difficult life events, strong emotions and any issue from your past that is creating difficutlies for you in the present. Sandy's modality is integrative as she has a grounding in so many different approaches and is able to adjust style depending on which seems to be most effective for you. Sandy specialises in addressing the effects of trauma and works with both children and adults. This therapy is usually on a one to one basis. Sometimes closed group therapy may run and this will be advertised via the main website. The cost of group therapy is less and you can suggest a group if you have a ready made set of people with similar issues who want to work together. Do get in touch if this is the case.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is an experiential form of psychotherapy where horses are involved in the sessions. "Experiential" means that you will be involved in hands-on experiences designed to reflect things going on in your life. The process is not always about interacting with the therapist, although that will happen at times. It is about giving you the opportunity to experience, explore, problem-solve, discover, be creative, gain insight and experience practical applications of what you are learning in the moment. The process is about "doing" along with the "talking.", this therapy is a collaboration between the client, therapist and, most importantly, the animals.
One-to-one and group sessions available.
Suitable for all mental health issues and neuro-diversity.
All sessions are on the ground and may take place in the field or in the arena depending on weather and activity. Sessions are usually 50/60 minutes in length.
