Healthcare is an increasingly complex area to work in. As technology advances we are having to make more and more difficult decisions and the right and wrong of these decisions is not always clear cut. This workshop explores a variety of decisions from different ethical approaches in an interactive and fun way. Learn and laugh. Aims of this workshop are to: ● Learn about different ethical approaches ● Using scenarios to make decisions in a safe environment whilst examining our own ethical standpoint ● Increase self-knowledge It is intended that after this workshop you will gain more knowledge, confidence and skill in making ethical decisions in your practice in a complex world. You will learn more about yourself by taking part in this workshop. Who is this workshop for ? This workshop is suitable for anyone working in the helping professions eg Counsellors, nurses, doctors, social workers, student healthcare professionals etc… Areas covered In a 6 hour day (1000 - 1630) we will cover the following: ● Ethics in health work ● Values and judgements ● Making complex decisions ● Working and living ethically A completion certificate for 6hours CPD will be provided at the end of the course. FEE: £80 workshop fee £70 (£10 discount for students) £90 in abundance - if you are in abundance and can afford to pay extra, £20 of your fee will be used to help fund a place in one of our workshops for people with lived experience of mental distress or on benefits. No lunch provided
